We made it home – just hours before Heathrow closed and the earthquake hit Thailand and after an epic ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ six week adventure to New Zealand in search of ancestry, with countless things to see and do in such a diverse and breathtakingly beautiful country.
Yes, we saw kiwis of the feathered kind (adults ready for release to the wild and a baby bird hatching), kiwis of the fruit variety ready for harvesting and so much stunning scenery from the comfort of a motorhome. Choosing four out of a multitude of images is almost an impossibility and that’s not mentioning the relatives, lovely ‘Hobbiton’, Maori culture, albatross, penguins, glaciers and Singapore and Thailand along the way! Much inspiration (wonderful seas) but no time to paint as we were constantly moving on…
