Tractor Rescue, Sea Air, and St. Patrick’s Day

Winter Weekend Wandering…

Who doesn’t love a late winter/early spring weekend away – caravanning!? So a daffodil-strewn trout stream, an otter nearby, wind in the Somerset trees – but we did welcome the farmer’s help to get pitched on his rather soggy field!

Then a day at the sea with unbroken sunshine. Charmouth (for fossil hunting – sadly this is not my ‘find’!) and Lyme Regis on the Dorset coast are amongst our favourite places. Living in Bucks. we’re a bit too far from the sea for a day-trip so a week-end it had to be, And then a spin around Wells to visit the Rare Plant Fair at the lovely Bishop’s Palace Gardens.

A weekend full of ideas, fresh air and fossils – ready to paint it ALL!

Saint Patrick’s Day, over in Ireland (March 17th) and for me, living in England but rooted there, it’s not the celebrations, the Guinness or even the music, it’s the love of what I will always call ‘home’, held in the people, the memories and the Island’s diverse beauty.

There’s a deep lake hidden in County Wicklow; it’s perfectly formed heart shape looks imagined but it isn’t.  So here’s that perfect heart painted in ultramarine in a week of celebrating the green…

‘Love in the Mountains’ (Lough Ouler)

I’ve pushed the texture to the limits to echo the surrounding peat bogs and rough terrain – the image almost  leaps off the canvas! 60x60x4cm

And… delighted to have taken part in ‘Art on the Hill 2026’ at Brill with over 60 Artists and Makers – alongside Bakers and plenty of Workshop Makers! A real family day out with a difference…

Managed to come along then thank – you SO much for being there, enjoying the art and ambiance and perhaps some cake! Missed Brill – dont forget to view my work online via my website https://margaretliversidge.co.uk/

A great outcome…

It was a real pleasure to see so many at the MS Society Art Exhibition and sale (March). Thanks to everyone who came along, enjoyed the artwork and helped make the occasion a success. Together we raised a massive £23,295 in support of Multiple Sclerosis.
