Climbing the stile towards Lower End guarantees a panorama across the Chiltern Hills, (Buckinghamshire, UK) and in mid-summer the path is trodden between swathes of chest high grasses and cow parsley.
Cow parsley, a hollow-stemmed, tall plant grows rapidly in the summer before dying back. It can be found decorating woodland edges, roadside verges and hedgerows with masses of frothy, white flowers. These flower umbels (umbrella-like clusters) appear from May until June.
