A solitary figure moves into the distance absorbed by the path ahead, inviting the viewer to follow. Turquoise shafts of light cut against the vibrant snow, their contrast held within a textured surface and set beneath a wintry sky.
There is a sense of momentum – the familiar rhythm of walk taken many times and yet never quite the same. The landscape in the distance is as yet unrevealed but invites anticipation, allowing the viewer to place themselves within it, to recognise their own remembered winter walks and their own sense of heading somewhere without needing to name exactly where.
