  • A bittersweet moment… these dramatic Atlantic waves have been my companions throughout the spring, layer by layer capturing their energy, movement and voice.
I’m actually sad to see them leave as they’ve brightened up my life. Yet I’m truly delighted that they have found a home where they can bring their spirit, colour and power of the sea to someone who sadly can no longer make that journey themselves.

May they carry the sound of the surf and the joy of the ocean every single day!

This reel brings together different compositions of the two paintings, stitched together in changing pairings to celebrate their vibrant colour, emotion and movement one final time.

Atlantic Crescendo still on display at Field View Studio for one more weekend…

📅 Fri 12 – Sun 14 & Fri 19 – Sun 21 June⏰ 10.30am–5.30pm📍 Field View, Castle Street, Wingrave, Bucks, HP22 4PT

  • For real! 💙

These woods have been extraordinary this year. Whether early morning or late afternoon - when the bluebells quiver and young beech leaves glow purple and lime …

I’m smitten - couldn’t not paint another and another…

This painting … ‘Purple Magic in the Twilight Wood’ 50x76 (DM or check website)

  • Today is Saint Patrick’s Day over in Ireland…
☘️☘️☘️
… and for me, living in England but rooted there, it’s not the celebrations, the Guinness 🍺or even the music 🎶, it’s the love of what I will always call ‘home’ - held in the people, the memories, and the island’s astonishing beauty.
💙💚💙
There’s a deep lake hidden in County Wicklow; it’s perfectly formed heart shape looks imagined but it isn’t. So here’s that perfect heart painted in ultramarine for a day of celebrating the Green!
💚💙💚
I call it ‘Love in the Mountains’, Lough Ouler ( try pronouncing that!) and I’ve pushed the texture to echo the surrounding peat bogs and rough terrain – it almost leaps off the canvas. (60x60x4cm) DM or website.

  • Small, humbled, utterly captivated by the drama of this 121 foot cascade— my all time fav waterfall…
💦💦💦
Ireland’s highest waterfall, cliffs towering above, water plunging into a dark, endless pool…
💦💦💦
Where it comes from or goes I’ve no clue yet. And somehow, that only makes the memory feel more alive. Find your favourite ‘fall’…

  • Lucky you – if you did manage a glimpse through a break in the clouds! Such a rare opportunity this weekend, six planets — Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune all aligned in the evening sky and I didn’t see a thing!

Thought I’d revisit three little sparkling 15 cm canvases. This triptych of colourful and textured minis sports spreading silver coronas in silver leaf, whizzzing around!

  • 5-Tone Therapy 🎨 Landscapes, one tone at a time. 5 shades, not 40, and loving the process.

Big thanks to the lesson that taught me to see value differently — exploring depth and subtlety in greyscale. Can’t wait to try it again with my favourite teal!

  • The brightest lights aren’t always in the sky… sometimes the glow stays low!

This painting began with my favourite plaster medium (which adheres well to canvas) - it’s a ‘chalk rich’ ground, resonating with the chalk geology of the Chiltern Ridge beneath.

Though now clearly agricultural land, the ridges and scrapes embedded in the plaster’s surface lend authenticity — bringing to life traces of centuries of human activity here…

The three iconic scrub trees stand as sentinels of time, lending life and rhythm to the scene whatever the season.

This relaxed and captivating painting is alive with vibrant colours. (50x40x4cm)

  • What fabulous sunsets this last week and here’s my favourite valley view - my favourite tree, greeted each morning and again every night, set against this ever-changing sunset sky.
🌅🎆🌅
So the end of a year, and stepping into 2026 with gratitude. Thanks so much for being here - for following along with my art and adventures over the past year — the trees, the seas, the skies, and everything in between!
🌊🌲🌅
Wishing you a joyful and hope-filled year ahead.
